Frequently Asked Questions

    What do I need to bring to my initial appointment?

  • A list of the medications you currently are taking
  • MRI, CT, and/or X-ray films if you have had them
  • New Patient Form obtained from our website
  • Insurance cards / driver's license (Photo ID)


    If I need surgery, what preparations are needed?

  • You will need to arrange for someone to help you at home during your recovery, generally for the first week after surgery
  • Do not eat or drink anything after midnight the day before your surgery
  • Blood work, EKG's and other pre-operative tests are usually done the week of your surgery
  • A pre-admissions nurse will advise you on whether to take heart or blood pressure medications
  • Insurance authorization for your surgery will be taken care of at our office


    How long will I be in the hospital?

  • The answer depends on what type of surgery you have, discuss this with your doctors


    What should I do after I leave the hospital?

  • Written instructions will be given to you as you leave the hospital and can also be obtained from our website
